Walnut Hand Shaped Box 1 (WABX1)

Description

This unique and stunning box is individually bandsawn, assembled, then finish shaped with hand tools.  Each box is one of a kind with its’ own wood color, grain graphics, and inclusions.  Careful consideration of grain and color help me identify a thoughtful cutting pattern which results in beautiful display of wood color and grain for each box.  After rough cutting on the bandsaw, each box is hand-shaped and smoothed to a satin exterior surface with fine rasps, files, and sandpaper (bandsaw kerf marks remain in the box interior).   Every box receives a two-coat hand wiped finish of Mahoney’s Walnut Oil which is food safe.

This box is roughly 6″ long x 3.5 ” wide x 3.25″ tall
